*My Little Trip Around Europe*

Venice - 26th May 2006

Woke up and had breakfast.. No chinese food.. bread n egg n nutella n jam n stuff. (Guess cause got a lot of europeans which stayed that night) Oh well...

Today, it's time the explore the rest of the island... Lido (good for its beaches) Burano (For its cute cute colourful houses) & Murano (for its glassware)

But before that, I haven't mentioned that Venice is famous for it's Masks also! Masquerade Masquerade Masquerade!!!!



And!!!! There are loads of street performers in full costumes with those masks. Totally cool..



So we first took the water bus to Lido island. (erm.. we didn't pay again.. =p) And haha, the beach is NICE!!! and there are half naked ppl around.. many women topless. Totally topless.. so guys.. I guess this is the place for ya. =p No pictures of them though.. dun wanna get beaten up by anyone yar?? haha

So we slacked at the beach, listening to the waves... blah blah blah.. and ate gelato again!!! I got no idea wat flavour i ate this time. can't keep track anymore. And after bathing in the sun, we took the water bus to Burano island

Burano is SO SO SO SO SO SO CUUUUTTTEE!!! The houses are SOOOOO colourful & pretty!! Like i stepped into some doll land. So SO cute.. Dunno how to describe it. We walked around and well... went... Shopping!!! cause there were many roadside stalls. Bought a pair of Murano glass earrings. Jiuan bought Murano glass bracelets n Pendants. Bought a grapefruit too.. haha..

It was actually getting late from all that shopping, and we wanted to see Glass making in Murano island. So we set off. But took the wrong water bus!!! arghhh.. We made a big big round somehow and by the time we reached Murano island, almost all the shops are closed and we never get to see glass making!!! wah!!!! =( double =(

No choice right.. cannot see.. so we went into those shops which were still opened and went back to our hostel to rest. Around 8pm i think, we took our bags, said bye to the oh so nice kind owner and went out. Wanted to try the Squid noodles which he recommended us to eat. Only €7 for a plate. But in the end we didn't.. oh well.. ate ice cream instead!! (YES!! again ice cream!!) Then we decided to take the water taxi to St Marco.

For ppl going to venice next time, YOU HAVE TO GO TO ST MARCO'S AT NIGHT!!! It's like the most romantic and dreamy place on earth!! (ok.. i may be exagerating a bit, but it really is damn romantic) How i wish i was rich and could dine there and just be pampered and just be pretty there. It was so so so happening yet romantic there.. awwwww..

Then we went to take the water bus back to St Lucia Train Station to take the night train to ROME!! So sad to leave Venice

*Note* Nobody checked our tickets for this train ride (train was rather full)
