Milan - 24th May 2006
Once again, I shall start writing from 23rd night.Well we reached the airport (Airport Bergamo) and settled down to prepare to stay overnight there. I was just sitting there minding my own business and this women (quite old) beside me, wanted to sell me ONE ticket to Milan's center. She was selling it cheaper than the usual price cause she said she bought it, but now decided she didn't need to go to Milan center. But i was super hesitant to buy it cause got 2 of us.. But anyway, she started talking to me, and how she travelled here n there n everywhere... and when i mean everywhere, i literally mean EVERYWHERE. US, Australia, Some parts of Asia, and europe of course. And she was telling me all her experiences and stuff... I wonder where she get all her money from travelling to so many places.. (she stayed in the US for like 2 months for travelling) She was also saying stuff like she feels safer with us.. i was like.. 'ok..watever..'
Anyway, Bergamo airport closes at night, but because so many people stays overnight there, they open this room for all of us to sleep in. So we had to move our stuff. And that women slept beside us.. haha.. yea.. but she's harmless.. i guess. =p hehe
So early in the morning we were shooed out of that place again (yup, we got another sleepless night) and waited for the first bus to the center. Reached the center and took this SUPER LONG WALK to our hostel!! arghhh.. stupid.. its super long the stretch of road to our hostel.. horrible.. and when we reached, we can't check in yet, cause check in time is i think 2pm..(i can't really remember) but luckily the guy let us put down our bags and leave our bags there. (But we can't bathe.. =(.. ) so we left our stuff and went to our first destination, monumental cemetary (got 3D version of 'The Last Supper')

You might wonder why we went to a cemetary. But its not a normal cemetary, it's like super grand and super big and... ok.. i dunno how to describe it.
Monumental CemetaryI won't go on blabbering about what other sights we saw. One interesting thing would probably be the Bull of Turin, where you are suppose to step on his dick with your heel and spin one round to give you good luck. (All the business men were doing it..We didn't though..)

We ate italian ice cream (Gelato) too! €2 or is it €1.50??? I forgot..either one of those 2 prices.. for 2 Huge scoops. (I think i had some yoghurt flavoured n Pistacchio flavoured).
Then we wanted to go back and check in. But was too lazy to walk back. Went to see whether could we take the metro without paying.. but can't... so what did we do??? We took the tram again!! hahaha.. and yes.. we didn't pay.. We took Tram 5 back to check in.. BATHED (Finally!!) Ate, relaxed. Decided to try n find the ac Milan stadium.
Free Tram Ride!!!
ac milan stadiumSo we went to find the stadium.. after taking a few more tram rides (haha) And went to the church, Santa Maria delle Grazie , where 'The Last Supper' painting is held.
Here's a link with a bit of info on 'The Last Supper'
Sculpture outside Stazione Garibaldi
yea, that's about it. A lot of business men and jap ppl around.. Buying all the branded stuff. Gucci.. Louis Vuitton.. etc.. (ARghh!!! If only i was super damn rich! ) hahaha..
Castello Sforzesco (Some Castle)
Central Station
Corso Vittorio Emanuele
(Where all the branded shops are, and where the Bull of Turin is)
So we went back to sleep and early in the morning the next day (super early in the morning, i think around 6am) we took a Train to VENICE.
*Note* Someone checked our tickets for this train ride (& the train was rather empty)
