Amsterdam - 6th June 2006

reached the hostel at Amsterdam at 6am. Hostel only opens at 7am, so we had to wait for a while. Our Hostel is really near the WAAG..

The Waag

Amsterdam is just so full of cute houses and canals.. cute little town.. very nice and peaceful.

Went to the square and Anne Frank's house

The Mask.. hee..

Then we went to the flower market (Should go there during around March period, where i heard there would be fields and fields of gorgeous pretty tulips... haiz.. missed it out la.. )

Went to some opera theatre place

Then walked on to the harbour and saw this restaurant shaped boat and chinese restaurant

Chinese Floating restaurant

heard about some red color shinny bridge, which we were unsuccesful in finding. Actually there are a lot of cool bridges in amsterdam.
Bridge we're trying to find...

Lots of drawbridges and other interesting bridges along the streets..

9.30pm...

Red light district.. didn't take much photos cause scared we get scolded and stuff..hee

Red light district: Day and Night View.
They block it with a post at night so that no cars could come in.... And the post disappears and goes back underground in the day.. so interesting right.. haha

but the women were like all in their lingerie inside all the glass windows and you could just view them like that.. Plenty of men oogling at them on the streets. Nothing much also, its just a street filled with half naked women and just feels sleezy that's all..

We walked around and decided to go to a coffee shop and try a hash brownie.. 4 euros for one.. tastes.. funny.. like there's herbs inside the brownie, but nonetheless, its edible. we shared one. And i think the effect was quite powerful, cause after abt an hour, i really started feeling groggy.. and sleepy... and dreamy... haha.. luckily i was back in the hostel by then.. =p

Hash Brownies for 4 Euros! hee..
